Online Security

Helping You Stay Safe Online

Jonesburg State Bank, along with the banking industry, recognizes that as the electronic financial world gets more complex, online fraud has become more sophisticated. In an effort to help you stay safe online, we would like to offer some safety tips to help protect your personal information.

DO NOT reply to any unsolicited email, pop-up message or phone call asking for personal and/or financial information. Legitimate businesses should never ask for this information online.

DO NOT open any email link or attachment if you suspect the message is fraudulent — be suspicious.

DO review account statements regularly to verify all transactions.

DO use anti-virus software, anti-spyware and a firewall — and keep them up to date.

While no defense can protect against every threat, you can enhance your security online with some common sense and a little healthy skepticism.

Below are links to government websites and resources concerning online identity theft and steps you can take to protect yourself online.
